Question about Blaster's Oil Injection
 

I've never dealt with a 2 stroke before, but I'm thinking about buying a Blaster. I hear they're the best bang for the buck.
I just have a few questions though to anyone who knows about Blasters.

Is it better to use the injection system or block it off and mix?
If its better to block off, how hard is that? Also where could I find the kits?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Just use the factory set up. It is easy and works fine. I've had Blasters for years and there is no problem with them at all. Don't believe all the horror stories.

The stock system is fine, just make sure that the screen is in place and add a inline filter like they use on snowmobiles. Most 90% of snowmobiles use oil injection. I have 8000 miles on a mxz670 with oil injection. That being said any time you can get rid of a moving part it will be more reliable. I have a block off kit on mine and it doesn't bother me. I mix at 32;1. A ratio rite can help out on the trails for proper mixing. I removed mine because I rolled a snowmobile when the tank was low. I got air into the line and it caused some engine damage. The third time out I rolled my blaster and decided to take it off so I woudn't have a repeat. I also did not like the line or cap that Yamaha uses on their system.

If this is your first quad leave it on and be careful filling the tank.

dont listen to him, the gear that runs the oil injector is plastic.... it will wear down, causing lots of top end damage. its worth it to order a $30 block off kit, so you can just premix. my injector failed, so i needed to bore out my cylinder, get a new piston, and crankshaft. 30$ is well worth the security.

It is really easy to block off, just do it. You can get the kit from your local dealer. There is no reason to take a chance of "a little engine damage"...$$$$$
