The sticker on my kodiak says 3.2 PSI, but the tires say not to inflate over 36 PSI. I figure the tires should be SOMETHING like a cars tires, which is in the 30 something PSI range, but the manual also says 3.3 PSI. Is this right?
let me give you the lowdown on this
first, allways read the manual , it will tell you the correct presure recomended for your vehicle. which is 3.2 PSI
tire manufactures put the number on the tire ...... MAX pressure can be applied to it.
example: on my truck's tire, printed... 50 PSI max ,
but the manufacture says 32 PSI reccomended.
why?
the tire can withstand 50 PSI max, before it may blow up
how ever the manufacture tested the tire for the given vehicle........ the way it drives and handles, and rides. 32PSi is what it needs.
if you go over or under , it will handle differently, and you would see funny tire wear.
now back to ATV tires......
ATV tires are very thick walled tire, it is designed to withstand sharp objects like rocks and what not,
but it need low pressure so it can flex and give..... when you hit a sharp rock or object.
I hope this helped.

Look under the seat, it will be strapped in on the right side of the bike with a black bungie cord.... anways there will be a small black bag with some tools, and you air pressure gauge..... i am surprised your dealer didn't explain all that to you when you picked it up... mine spent 1/2 hour showing me how to check all the fluids, he made sure everything was there, he took his time and it impressed me alot.
