Default New oil tank.

I know you can buy bigger, better, more cooling oil tanks but is it worth the money, and what kind of an impact do you get from them.

Many Many people buy aftermarket oil tanks for one specific reason..(this excludes racers or hi pro. duners out there)... But many people buy aftermarket oil tanks because there stock ones break. The stock oil tank is a POS in my opinion. Aftermarket oil tanks are cooler and would make a difference for a long day of riding and may delay the amount of time you have to change your oil too.

Usually when somone changes the oil in the tank resivoir, well it is real easy to over tighten that bolt and most people dont put the washer back in-between the bolt and the actual oil tank... therefor the screw goes too far in without warning and the tig-weld holding the drainpiece where the bolt goes can crack which will let oil drain out of the crack....Not good. Your options are to re-weld the tank or buy a new one... you better watch out because if you want a new one and you get an aftermarket oil tank make sure it will fit your headers especially after-market headers.

This happened to me 2ce and if you want my opinion.. i would get the CFM Proformance oil tank. Its the cheapest for the raptor and it has about all the features of other aftermarket tanks out there. DO NOT REPLACE WITH STOCK!!!!!!

Nope, they are aluminum.

I have never had a problem with my tanks either and have had two raptors. Also, I just started this past two oilchanges draining the oil from the engine line that goes to the oil tank. It connects right next to the drain plug and all the oil drains out there without pulling anything else off and makeing a mess.
