Default Warrior wont turn over! help please!

Im having a problem with my 2001 yamaha warrior. i just replaced the stator because my old one was shot. im trying to start my quad up but it wont turn over. it sounds like its trying to, but it sounds like the engine isnt getting any gas. fuel is on and carb is cleaned. what could my problem be? anythings i should check?

thanks so much
jeff

make sure your getting fuel into the carb, are you sure your getting spark? Use a test light or a DVOM and check the power out of the stator, out of the coil. etc.

I think you should pull the plug first and see if it has spark

pull the plug, keep it connected to the wire, hold it to metal and crank it over, look for a spark. Next, put the plug in, disconnect the wire and crank it over a while, then pull the plug. See if its wet with gas or not.

see if the fuel is getting into the bowl of the carb, take the fuel line off and open the petcock for the gas
