What gear do YOU take on a ride??
If this has been asked before, please forgive me. I didn't find anything on a search.
If not, then let's start a new thread.... What gear/equipment do YOU take on a long backcountry ride in the trails, or on a hunting trip?? Other than the obvious hunting "necessities", or basic riding gear-(First aid kit, fire ext. etc.), what kind of "Can't go without it" type gear do you take? Just looking for new ideas. My gear: GPS Pair of small Motorola radios Small military E-tool (Shovel/Pickaxe combo) Hatchet Small, (But well equipped) First-Aid kit Cell phone/spare battery Winch equipment/strap(s)/shackles etc. Gloves Duct tape/electrical tape Basic tools Flat repair kit Tow strap Bungee cords 100' climbing/rescue rope, carabiners etc. Camera Flashlight/headlamp/batteries Good knife Really dependable Kimber .45 Tie-down straps Fire extinguisher Emergency blanket(s) Water I think that about covers MOST needs. It sounds like a lot, but I carry it all in a fender bag, and maybe one other rack bag. Can't imagine that I'm leaving much out, but what else do YOU take? |

Some small wrenches, lighter, smokes, special herbs and spices, bottle of gatorade stuck in bumper, money, and a form of ID to handle DNR tickets when riding the powerline trails. If in the U.P. and it's night time a couple beers to have on the lake superior shoreline is a must.
