Yamaha brand hour meter doesn't work on YFZ450?
 

I have the Yamaha hour meter tach for my new YFZ, wrapped it around the plug wire. It doesn't work. Now, I had the same thing on my Rappy and it worked fine.

I read on another board that you can splice the wire into one of the 2 on the plug, but I don't know which one and would just assume not splice anything w/o knowing for sure it will work and which one.

Any suggestions?
