I was looking to put a white bro's exhaust on my 02' warrior, i was also lookin to get a pre-jetted keihin 38 mm carb, and put a hot cam in.....when i looked into the carb and hot cam, they say its not recommended for a stock machine, would it be cool putting the 38mm carb & hot cam on with the exhaust, Uni air filter, and 14 tooth f/sprocket?

I dont know if putting an exhaust on it would qualify it as stock so you should be able to put it on but the tranny and clutch will have more of a load then before and you will prolly be replacing clutches because of all the added torque. I would buy a new clutch kit like the digger clutch then put that stuff on it. jmo[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

yeah u deff make a good point a better clutch w/ heavy duty springs should also be on your list

The stock warrior clutch is already good enough for a 400 stroker kit, and it doesn't really need to be replaced. Don't forget the same motor was used on the big bear back in the day. The mods that really made a difference for me were 20" dia 11" width tires, carb, +2 arms, and the dyna, all of which made one hell of a difference. The oil cooler did wonders too in conjunction with the rest. The clutch may give you a little torque but I'd worry about the other mods first, that clutch is already one tough b@stard! As for what you listed, I'd say you'll be fine. You might want to get some porting/polishing done on the head if you want to see the full potential of the carb.

I think you might want to get the head ported and polished though .. the 38mm is going to flow more air than the 36, and you want a nice smooth flow ...

I was wondering how much a port and polish would be. And where should i get it done, i live in NJ so is there any places close to me? How much are aftermarket cams with valve springs. And do they make a degree key for a warrior?

A 38 carb wouldnt match a hotcam. A hotcam is a mild lil sucker based around midrange and all around power. Slapping a big carb on her would just limit what that cams made to do by giving more flow on top end, which it isnt able to use, and slowing air speed everwhere else hurting all around power. Fun huh?

Here is a suggestion...If your going to spend this much $, get something different then a Warrior. If you want to "hop" one up, for the money, just do a pipe, Pro FLow with K&N, and re-jet it. You may even want to go down a tooth on the front sprocket.
