Raptor Problem! Please Help

Hey guys whats going on? I have a 2001 Raptor and havent turned it on in a while and today i jumped the battery, started the bike although it is reving extremely high at idle. The choke is closed but it idles too high. Can anyone have a solution? Are there parts to check, could there be a valve backed up? Thanks for your time and support

YOUR FLOAT COULD BE STUCK OR SOMETHING IN YOUR CARB IS STUCK.

PULL THE CARB AND CLEAN EM.

DO YOU STORE IT OUTSIDE IN THE COLD, COULD BE FROZEN A BIT.

BRING IT IN THE GARAGE AND THAW IT OUT THEN TRY IT. RUN SOME DRY GAS THROUGH IT.

Its in the garage all year long. Temperature doesnt drop below 40 degrees. Could it be the idle screw and how do you go about the ways you guys explained to me. I appreciate it

Sounds like a lean condition to me. Check and make sure your carb boots didn't develop any cracks over the winter.

what you could try and do is open the carb bowl drains, the screw on the very bottom of the carb, i do this every year after they have been is storage, gas likes to evaporate and leave deposits inside your carbs so flushing the system this way may be a quick solution to your problem, just open them up and let a quart or so drain out and see what happens. could save you a lot of time and all you'll need is a few minutes and a screwdriver. tearing apart raptor carbs is a painstakeing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The carbs could have partially blew off creating the lean condition, resulting in high idle. 02 models got updated intake boots to help cure this condition. These are the boots between the head and carbs.
