Q's on '96 Kodiak 400

Thinking of getting one. Has the 5spd with hi/lo sub-trans. How durable are they? Wanting to run big tires (low range)and keep it in the mud as my "mud bike". Will it hold up, any known probs with this model?

should do find with big tires on it...since yamaha has been making them they have been very good
