My friend just bought a stock CR125 and says he is going to bury me on my stock 660 Raptor.
I have not run w/the 2 stoke bikes yet so I do not want to flap my lips but I do not think the 125 will bury the raptor.
Any comments on this.

I suppose then it depends on the conditions and rider ability.
Safe to say if we were running out in the open he will take me.

 

its safe to say he will smoke you in any conditions,unless he forgets to shift..i can easily walk away from a stock raptor on my scrambler and ive been beat pretty bad by a cr125 bike..

 

I've beat CR 125's. I didn't think they were that quick. But oh those CR250's !!! 3rd gear & up wow.

 

If its a short stretch he will win,if its a long strech you will win. His bike will acellarate really quick then it will top out and he will be done,you should be able to fly by him once he gets into 5th gear. 125s only go about 60 and you cant hold em wide open like a 4stroke so once he gets up to top speed he will have to let off then you can pass him. Everyone thinks 125 are so fast and they really arent.

 

If your friend "just bought" a CR125 then race him today, before he figures out how to ride it well. The learning curve on bikes can be pretty steep, ... although drag racing is pretty much a no brainer. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

ur not much of a "dirtbikeguy" are u? they go way faster then 60, idc how ur friends is geared. ive done this race and i was actually pissed at how close it was. 1st race i got a fairly bad start and he won. next race i got a good start and i barely took him. top speed niether was faster then the other
