The banshee chain has become loose, what shall I do, thanks
Loosen the upper and lower axle housing bolts.... ( The axle housing on 1987-1988 models uses 4 mounting bolts. The axle housing on 1989---on models uses 2 long bolts and nuts. ) After you do that then you must loosen the 2 chain adjuster locknuts and turn the them clock wise to tighten the chain.... There ARE MARKS on each adjuster.... Make sure they are both the same or the rear end will be out of alignment....After you are done, make sure you tighten the ajuster nuts and the upper and lower axle housing nuts and bolts.. The upper housing bolts should be torque down to about 85ft.lb. and the lower bolts around 45ft.lb. of torque
