88 big bear carb
 

My big bear is still burning rich after i put a kit in the carb to no avail. i set the float to 12mm height which 12mm to 14mm is reccomended. air mixture screw is out 2 turns. Carb is clean and was air blowed out. Needle is set in the 2nd notch from top. New gas and air filter. Bike does speed up and smooth out when gas is turned off and shuts down. I was was wondering about two things. One being a float that could be bad and the other the spark plug. The shop put a 7 in the bike when they worked on it and i ran an 8 in the bike which is what is called for. Just searching for something that might make a difference. Bike will not idle and blows black smoke when i thottle at any position. Choke seems to be working properly. Crap what a pain!!
