if you can afford it you should take him up on that offer, maffitt. The HMF is 10x better than the el cheapo you just bought.

click here for a sound clip of a wide open run with my hmf
It sounds good in that clip, but it still doesn't do the hmf justice. It sounds much better in person than any recording.

If you mean better as in louder, than it will be a little bit better, but it will sound like a loud lawnmower. If you mean better as in more power, then no it's not any better than stock. You might even LOSE power if it's old and the packing is all blown out of it.

You didn't by chance buy that rusty cobra POS that was on ebay for $40, did you? I hope that's not the one you bought.

Good luck finding gearing that will make a stock warrior wheelie easily. The motor is just too far forward in the frame for the stock motor to lift it up easily. Shorter rear tires and lighter front tires are what makes a big difference with wheelies for the warrior. I'd just stick with the stock gearing, it's pretty good all-around from the factory.

I just found it in the completed listings. You got ripped the f^&* off! 55 bucks for a rusted stock header and 10 year old cheapo slip-on? That thing is old! I can guarantee you the packing is all blown out of it, so you will lose power over your stock exhaust.

In my opinion the factory replacement K&N's are a waste of hard earned money. They still have the same problem as the factory filter, where the air can complely bypass the filter and dirt gets sucked into the engine if the filter isn't installed carefully. I've heard complaints that they fall apart after a few cleanings too. You also have limited options for removing your airbox lid to gain power. I'm still using a stock-replacement UNI filter, i'm just extra careful that when I put the filter in the lid holds it tightly in place like it's supposed to. You can also see how I modified my airbox to increase airflow in my pictures. Just opening up the airbox lid like I did will give you a 1-3 hp gain. I recommend you do the same, unless you ride in water or a lot of mud.

Good luck trying to sell that rcm on ebay without losing money. You spend $25 on shipping, which is more than the pipe is worth to begin with. My suggestion: try to sell it locally for $30 to some other NewB before he realizes he's getting ripped off, and cut your losses.
