Grizzly won't engage into reverse
Hey all, I've got a 2000 Grizzly that suddenly refuses to go into reverse! I checked the cable that goes from the shifter to the footbrake - that all looks good. Didn't know if anyone else had experienced this or had any advice / tech help? Thanks!

Grizzly won't engage into reverse
Yeah, even if its not bent, you may need to adjust the linkage or compensate for the bend if you dont wanna spend the money

Where is that shifting rod located on the griz? Mine is a bear to get in and out of reverse too and has been since new.

Grizzly won't engage into reverse
Just an update on this:
I disconnected the shift rod and took apart the shifter. The shifter was a little sticky. I put the shifter back on and made sure the shift rod was nice and straight. I also adjusted (loosened) the foot brake cable that goes into the shifter - I think this was the main culprit. Got everything back together and reverse now works fine. |

Look at your shifter - it's the rod that runs from the shifter to your transmission. Also - at the bottom front of your shifter is where your foot brake connects - you can adjust this foot brake connection, that might be your problem. Also the shift rod is threaded and can be adjusted - it might be a combo of both. Im glad I got mine working, let me know if ya git yers fixed! |
