Did the nut strip off the threads? Rethreading doesn't sound like a safe idea, just get a new a-arm and don't take any chances.

depending on how chewed up it all got, u may be able to salvidge it if ur pritty good at it. i dont see why it wouldnt work. But if it just ripped out like that, it sounds alittle beyond repair and might just be better to replace if u got the $$$....would u have to replace the whole A-arm or could u just buy a new nut/bolt. what did u hit to cause all that anyways?!?!

you can replace just the ball joint. It would probably cost about 25 to 30 dolars for the part, and they are easy to replace.

You can't replace the ball joints on 1989 and newer warriors because the ball joint is a welded part of the a-arm. If the threads are damaged you can take a risk and try to repair it, but you could get hurt badly if it failed. The safer bet would to buy a used a-arm off ebay. Another possibility: you could also sell the remaining 3 that are good , and get a set of ASR a-arms on ebay for $350. The cost of a new arm from yamaha is insane, $100 for an upper, $200 for a lower.

well the nut seems to have been held on by maybe the last 2 or 3 theards and the cotter pin..[which break really easy i see]the nut will start but will not tighten up it just comes back off.i don't really have the money to buy a new one because they are high and you do have to replace the a-arm which i think is a bone head idea from yamaha [not sure what they were thinking] i'm going to try and retap the nut and the stud and see what happens.if i can get it to tighten up i think it will be ok.i hope
