Drain or not to drain? That is the question!

Sup guys my raptor has been sitting in the garage for about 8 months with 3/4 tank of gas. Should i drain it? Should I clean the carbs? I'm going to the shop tomarow to get a new battery and going to get her going. Anyone else use the old gas after its been sitting a long time?

I have engine mods but am kinda lazy and dont feel like listing them.

I left 6 gallons of 2 stoke gas in my boat for 2 years. Cranked on the first turn and ran great.

Take the gas cap off and smell the gas, allot of times the gas smells ransid when it goes bad. I would attempt to run it through and if it doesn't run good, then, clean the carb.

The gas should be fine.

Try BG 44K. Mix it to proper ratio if not a little light. If the mix is to heavy the gas will not burn. If any product can this will clean the carbs with out removal.

do it yourself? if you are afraid of taking a carb apart, take pictures of the carb when you are opening it so when you are done cleaning it you can know where everything goes

I tend to be frugal with the time used working on the quad. If a can of fix it will clean the carb, then, it will save time. It also may perform a better job than trying to clean it by hand.

I have used BG 44K on several engines and it seems to work quite well.
