Cutting my Banshee's fenders?
 

well, im debating on cutting my banshee's fenders. Now, when i ride i sometime may pass through a mudhole or a wet spot and i was curious, would cutting my front fenders just get me muddy as hell? or would it not be to bad? i really would rather not get covered with mud, exspecially if i go to a track where they are wetting it to keep dust down. that would suck.
also ive heard the rumor that cutting the front fenders will actually help your quad go faster because less drag? is that true?
and i could buy an axtra set of front plastics to change them out according to where i may be riding. how much are front plastics for a banshee? I have the all black limited edition quad.

it makes the banshee look 10000000 times meaner. thats the best reason to cut your fenders.

I agree with the green goblin dude, im debating cutting mine too. It will add 1-2 mph to your top speed from less drag. I dont know if i wanna cut mine, i rode my buddies, his are cut and i didnt notice anymore mud on me when i rode it. I think ill ride it again just to make sure. They do look sexy as hell with no fenders though. Are you considering cutting the back ones too or just the front?

Cutting fenders is probably 95% looks and 5% function IMO for sand dunes and that is the only place I ride the Bansh. I often haul my Bansh sideways in a flatbed trailer and the stock rear fenders would flap in the wind like Dumbo's ears and seemed like they would break off before I cut them. I cut fronts right off and they look so much better. I would not want to ride the Banshee in mud or on trails in any case with or without cut fenders. There are better choices for trails but IMO nothing is as much fun in the dunes.
