Fi 700 Griz mods - ?

I would like to see some pics of the new Yamaha Griz 700 with some of the newer updated mods, such as
skid plates, windshield flaring, and maybe front and rear bumpers. I know there is an oem bumper that
can go on that Y has would like to see one before I decide to invest. I have a few bucks aside for some
aftermarket items, and have the tires and wheels pretty well figured out. Whatcha got.

I've never seen an ATV with a windshield fairing around here, but I have seen a few from out of state. It is almost always dry and dusty here, and the windshields make the dust ten times worse because they create a vortex that sucks the dust in, and right in front of the rider. Our old Rhino came with a windshield, and after one ride I removed it. Windshields + dust = bad idea. It might be a bit early to see them start showing up on the '07 Grizzly.

I don't know if this qualifies for "mods", but here is a link to a picture or two of our 2007 camo Grizzly 700, with 14" ITP wheels and 27" ITP XTR tires.

How is the ride with the new tires and rim? Is it any different than stock? If you don't mind telling, how much did you spend on the package? I am just starting to look around but not totally sure I want to spend the money.

I really like the ride quality. The radial tires ride smoother than the stock bias ply; the track width is about 3" wider, so it feels more stable; and the 14" rim feels better in turns because of less sidewall flex. It feels great, this is the only quad I have had that handles better with 27" tires than it did with 25" tires.

They are pricey though. I paid $800 for everything, but retail may be even a few hundred more than that. The Yamaha dealer wanted to sell me the tires and a cheaper set of wheels for $1000, and I told them that was too much.

One other point...

Maybe the power steering on this ATV is a better addition than I have been giving it credit for. With the power steering there is absolutely no difference in steering effort when changing from 25" tires with low offset stock wheels to sticky 27" tires and greater offset wheels. After you put the big meaty tires on your Grizzly you will really appreciate the power steering .

I am still running stock, but plan to upgrade to 14" itp rims, with Terracross tires, which are a radial, but
a half way between stock handling and the mudlite xtrs which are for lots of mud. Supposedly they are
great for trail, and ok for mud. i don't have much mud here or dust. A windshield is something I want during
the cold weather. You don't have that cold hitting you in the face when you are moving right along. That can
be real painful. I wish one of these manufactures would make a hard cover cab for a full size atv. It would
be a joy to ice fish out of one and not have to build a seperate ice shack. Oh I want full skid plates under
neith.

Awesome looking Grizz!!! I have ridden the new Grizz 700 and was very impressed. It turns easier than any atv I have ridden and the ride was very plush. Power was good too. I think Yamaha has hit a home run!
