Default Black Plug on Grizzly

While doing a valve adjustment on my bone stock '06 Grizzly, I noticed the plug was black as all get out... Do I just buy a new plug or clean mine, and what adjustments should I make to keep it burning cleaner? I would have to get back to you on mileage. And according to my Gps I am about 900 ft asl. Thanks in advance.

well depending on how old the plug is I would replace it since you said it was black and since it being old could just have carbon buildup which it sounds like it is carbon and not oil ...just buy a new one they are cheap instead on cleaning it ...just keep an eye on the plug and see if this one gets black also because if it turns black also I would say you are running rich

how do you cure a rich condition, with a different size jet or adjusting the mixture screw?

Well your plug just might be really old and just has alot of carbon buildup on it but if you have never touched the jets and don't have any mods then you shouldn't be rich

Grizz's are usually set rich from the factory

I had to re-jet mine, not a big deal really. I just bought the dynojet kit, but you don't need too unless you just want something hassle free with step by step directions and not experementing

Thnaks I don't have one so I couldn't tell him how the fatory jets it thanks for the info so then you are running rich most likely and I would def get a new plug and go down one jet or if you can set the needle to make the mixture more lean

Mixture screws are for idle only. If your rich from above idle on, you need to change the main jet or needle position.
The easiest thing to do is get a preformance air cleaner.
