0/40 sounds really thin...
i run 20/50 Amsoil synthetic motorcycle oil in mine...
\and i have been wanting to experiement with some Rain-X on my plastic... i used it on my windows on my s10 and i love it.. but i've always wanted to see what it would do on plastic...

yep a garden hose some old baby bottle scrubbers and my chain scrubber maybe 30 minutes and bang the rappy is clean of coures useing some chain lube after every wash is recomened right from the manual plus you can spray down your rappy once the egine has cooled down plus i use motoclean stuff works great oring safe for the chain too

Is using a pressure washer bad? I did once and it did a real good job of getting that haze out of the plastic from embedded dirt Is my guess. It also cleaned up the blacks real well. I imagine it wouldn't be good to use directly on anyplace where there is a seal though. Pam cooking spray. I'll give that a shot though.
