Blaster won't kick?
 

I have a 1988 Yamaha Blaster. I just replaced the gasket for the crankcase where the right side cover goes on. When I put the cover back on, the kick starter is like locked in one place. I took it apart to try and figure out what's not going back together right, but can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be very appreciated.

Did u put the kick starter on backwords? im not saying ur dumb but it does happen. Did you make sure to put it on in the up position?

1st Try and loosen your case and see if that free's it up if not see and make sure you got your tension spring on rite or backwards and then see if your guide spring is on rite..

theres a plastic piece on the kicker shaft the spring has to go or meet up in that notch cut out on the plastic...hard to explain, but i've had the cover off 6 times no problems last time coudnt get it to mesh back up..dont force it you'll break it ....look at a book

hey, thanks for the replies. I got a book last night and got it fixed. The teeth on the kicker weren't meshing properly with the teeth on the primary gear. Thanks for the help though.
