my friend aquired a 93 warrior. It runs great! But it has that hiddious pink and purple plastic!
Someone was telling us that the plastics from 350 raptors would fit it with some light modifications.
Anyone have any insite on this?
Or does anyone have any warrior specific plastics they would get rid of at a good price? That are not PINK AND FREAKIN' PURPLE!!!!!

The Raptor 350 plastic will fit a Warrior frame, but it is not a LIGHT modification. You have to weld new mounting tabs to the frame, the airbox wont work, the battery wont work, you have to have new headlights and brackets, a new seat and gastank........................do I need to keep going? My advice would be to find some Warrior plastic. Maier sells a "look-alike" Raptor 350 kit that will directly fit the Warrior without all the mods, but Im not crazy about the way it looks. I sold all my old grey and yellow plastic for $50. I dont blame your friend for getting rid of the pink and purple! What was Yamaha thinking?!

 

I got a friend that has a 01' warrior and he put a set of black raptor 350 maier plastics on it and it fit perfectly.Looks pretty good.He got this set off ebay so check em on there.Hope this helps.See ya around

I think i will just tell him the 2nd one and if they don't fit then i will tell him about the first one. that way i am not the only one having to do a bunch of crap to their quad! Trust me, Ive done it! The first photo in my line up is actually the Warrior frame with the real Raptor 350 fenders. It took alot of time and money to make them work right. If I hadve known what it took, I never would have done mine. I didnt like how they turned out so I ended up buying a Raptor 350 frame and switched everything over (2nd pic). Im not sure what the other guy was talking about, but I know first hand what it takes. Its not my friend or somebody I know, I did it. If he still wants to go thru with it, I think I still have pics of the frame mods that have to be made.

 

Yeah, he's right. It's a ton of work. You need a new seat too. Your best bet is to just get some new Maier look-a-likes or find a set of warrior plastics on ebay.
