i read that if you turn the rear link on a raptor 660 upside down, the height will drop but you will have the same travel. is this true?

no.. it will lift it... and you will have the same travel

That what all the TT/Oval track guys do for a 1" drop. I have no idea how it affects suspension travel, though.

it will drop you, not sure of the travel. i wouln't recomment it though, you might snap the rear shock shaft like i did on my 03 after i flip my rear linkage.
