Default Exhaust & carb for a yfz450

Hi there everyone,

I need your opinions please! I am finally going to be upgrading my exhaust for my yfz450. Currently by bike is in stock condition & am definatley going to put a K&N filter. I am considering getting the Ron Wood Stage 1 kit OR getting the FMF factory 4 titanium muffler, mid pipe & powerbomb header package with either a Edelbrock 40mm carburetor or the TM 42mm Mikuni carburetor with the fmf exhaust. So what do you guys think?

I'm leaning towards the fmf exhaust, but don't know which carb to get?

www.hpresearch.net has a kit for the yfz450 its a 44mm carb but they also have a 46mm lectron carb for the ds650...it should work with some modifications if you need that big.

Well you would need to find out what the factory settings were in the first place....such as the main jets, the pilot jets and air fuel screws and the needle settings on all of these. Im sure somone knows all the factory settings on here....after you found out all these settings you would need to take apart the carbs and rejet.

Alright people...thus far I've messeged a few of you as to what pipe to get. However, I've only gotten a response from 2 of you(you probly already know who you are, if your reading this). These are the results:

Recommended

Ron Wood pipe: 1 person

FMF Factory 4 system: 1 person

Im going to get either one of these pipes. not sure which one! Please help.

I've decided to go with the mikuni 42mm carb over the Edelbrock 40mm... <---Everyone agree???

How far are you planning on building your motor up? Unless you are going to have it bored and/or stroked out and run cams, I would stick with the FCR, it is a great carb. If you are sticking with bolt-on performance, save your $$ for other stuff.
