My little brothers 80 fourwheeler would not start in cold until I tried giving it a new sparkplug and sprayed starting fluid down the sparkplug hole. After that it fired right up.

You better watch out how much of that $h|t you use. I heard it screws up your ATV.

Yeah, the starting stuff isn't really the ideal for engine life...I do use it once on a while though. Yesterday, I did. I didn't want to spend 1 hour trying to see what was wrong (I was convinced that it everything was about right). Sprayed a little stuff and it fired.
Not my favourite technique though. If I have time (and will), I'd rather take everything apart until it fires normally.

I friend of mine did that and put too much in it and it shot the plug straight out of the hole...stripping it....and it shot through the bottom of his gas tank. I wouldn't recomend that method of starting.

I've seen that stuff blow valve covers right off of a 318 Dodge. Don't ever give a GI a can of ether.

Believe it or not, WD-40 works pretty good, and still gives a little lubrication. Thats what I use. Works every time.

USE WD-40 FOR STARTING FLUID ON A TWO STROKE. IT WORKS GREAT, AND HAS LUBE IN IT FOR THE CYLINDER.
