DAMN sibling's!!!!
soo basicly i was outside changing the oil in my car when i heard a quad coming up the drive way i get up to see who it is and its my brother being towed by his friends 4x4 (my brother was on our raptor) so i asked him what he did this time run out of gas or something but no he still had a half tank, insted he decided to fry the clutch! so i need to know what i need to buy (pressure plates, friction plates, springs?). when u put it in gear the engine just revs doesnt move at all just rolles backwards (i was on a small hill)

DAMN sibling's!!!!
does anyone know what exacly i need just friction plates... or should i get one of the kits?

DAMN sibling's!!!!
I would just buy a kit with the springs and the fiber plates. Usually the metal plates are OK. When you take them apart, you look at the metal plates and if they are worn or grooved you replace them. Dont forget to soak the new plates in motor oil for about 30 min. before installing them.

I agree, Getting the kit will help solve the problem of another fried clutch. Just replacing the friction plates and pressure plates wont put anymore tension on them to keep them from slipping again.
Any chance it was low on oil? |
DAMN sibling's!!!!
no its got a good amount of oil i changed it during the winter and it still looks pretty good... what kit would you recoment.. i figure i should get an upgrade if i need a new one anyways...
EBC Barnett DPK Hinson (not shure if this one comes with steel plates and springs tho) also how many plates will the raptor hold? any help will be appreciated. |
DAMN sibling's!!!!
GYTR kit is the best, Hinson is basically the same thing as quality goes. EBC and barnett would be next on my list.
