Warrior problems

I have a 92 warrior and it wont stay running. It will run great for about 15 min and then die. I went to start it and the batt. was dead, so I push started down a hill. It would spit and sputter and back fire. I have removed the e brake ass. And took the carb apart and cleaned it. I ahven't riden it yet since then but I jump started it today and left it runnning it the garage. It ran for about 10 to 15 min then died. Batt still dead so I jumped it again then it ran for about 5 min and died, Someone please help me I NEED to get out and go riding. Thank you

are you sure its getting fuel? is the gas on? other than that i would have to say maybe the stator, i have heard of warriors acting like yours when the stator is on its way out. seems to run good for a while, then just cuts out. maybe do a search on this forum for stators and i bet you will find a ton on info!

Do you have a friend you can borrow a battery from, or just break down and buy a new one. Best bet is to test the battery at a local auto parts store where they can put a load on it and test it.

Motorcycles don't work the same as cars, as in there is no alternator. It needs a good charged battery to run and the only other thing is fuel.

The same thing happened to me on the harley.

Clean you fuel filter too.

run throught that whole e brake surgery you did.... i took the e brake off my warrior years and years ago, and theres a bolt on the back brake that I used to have to either turn in or out in order to get the thing to run right...otherwise it sputtered, and backfired like you said....if your standing behind the bike looking down, the bolt I'm talkin about should have the head of it facing toward you, mess with it....you might be suprised.

It's getting gas. when it started stiting and spettering you could smell the gas out the tailpipe. How can you test the stotor and coil?

I've had other electrical issues with my warrior that caused the same problem. Strip the plastic off and look for worn through wiring as well. In a couple different spots under the seat the harness has had shorting issues.

My mechanic has tested the stator for me on previous bikes, You'll have to take it in somewhere
