Mike, have you looked at your spark plugs? I wonder if your running rich and that is your problem. If your plugs are black then you are rich. Do you have any air box or exhaust mods and if so have you done any jetting?

Do you have a lid on the airbox? If not you are getting too much air and should be running lean which would cause a white spark plug. Are you familiar with the carb. I am wondering if you removed it and opened it up and sprayed it real good with carb cleaner if that would help. It might be worth a shot. Can of carb cleaner is only a few bucks and it is really good to learn how to remove the carb anyways. Let me know and I'll try to walk you through it.

IVE TAKEN THE CARBS OFF TWICE AND CLEANED THEM, THO I WASNT ABLE TO GET THE SMALL JETS BECAUSE I DIDNT HAVE A SMALL ENOUGH SCREWDRIVER, SO I SPRAYED A LOT OF CARB CLEANER, AND TRIED TO BLOW THEM OUT WITH A COMPRESSER. MAYBE ILL HAVE TO TRY IT AGAIN, WHAT CAN IT HURT,
CAN A BAD SWITCH CAUSE THE BIKE TO START BUT NOT REV? CLUTCH SWITCH IS GONE, NUTERAL SWITCH,REVERSE SWITCH ARE STILL THERE ,I THINK, OR THE STARTING SWITCH CUT OFF RELAY? WHAT YOU THINK BRO THANKS FOR THE HELP, KEEP IN TOUCH, ILL GET THIS THING FIXED IRONHEAD MYKE |

Like tjm52 the intake boot being cracked or split is very common. Alot of times it is hard to see the split with out taking it off and giving it a good look over.
I had a old big bear 350 that was doing the same thing. The intake boot seemed to be fine but when I removed it and bent it I found the crack. |

CAN THE INTAKE BOOT BE CRACKED AND IT MIGHT START UP AND RUN
6-8 TIMES BEFORE IT WILL TAKE A CRAP, THEN STARUP AGAIN, JUSTA OUT OF THE BLUE, THEN SAME OL SAME OL, JUST STOP RUNNING? ALSO, IVE REMOVED ALL OF THE PARKING BREAK STUFF,SWITCH ON THE BARS, AND THE PARKING BRAKE OFF THE REAR BRAKE, NOW, IS THERE ANY WIRING THAT HAS TO BE REMOVED ALSO? A RELAY OR SOMETHING. I HAVE NO BATTERY OR SIMILER STUFF ON THE BIKE, CAN IT BE SOMETHING IN THE WIRING OR A REALY? THANKS LOADS IRONHEAD MYKE |
