My first ATV. I bought a 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 250 in great shape. It still has almost all of the original tread on it's first set of tires. The only flaws I see are a little rust on the rear racks.
I looked at lots of new ATV's. I couldn't justify financing a quad that costs almost as much as a car, and the new ones in my cash price range were too small in size. The Bayou was nice, but was too dinky for my body.
I looked at a lot of used ATV's. Some very nice and some pretty well worn, but just about all I looked at the owners didn't have a title, or they never turned the MSO into the DMV. I didn't want any of that to come back and haunt me. I hope I made the right choice in waiting. It hauls me and the wife faster than I like to go on the gravel road.
Will an 8 year old ATV be harder to get parts for when I need them ?
