Ok I rebuilt my 1999 Yamaha Bear tracker motor and now it won't rev like its suppose to I changed the CDI box and voltage regulator and stator. Still has the same problem. Checked it with a timing light and it doesn't have a constent beat. It's like it skips a beat when you rev it up as i can see for the timing light I have had a yamaha tech look at it and he seems to think since the motor has been apart before the flywheel might have been changed but some one might have run into the same problem and could help out. thanks

 

it won't rev at all?? or it has an intermitent rev?

 

Thanks for replying. It will rev but not high, it will get to a point then won't go any higher and sometimes it will back fire ( sitting still reving the bike ). I will start out in first then it will be at the point to shift to second then in second gear it bogs down. It feels like the bike is in retard mode but I can't be for sure.

 

I have the same machine with the same problem. Did you get yours fixed?

 

I'm still in the process of doing it. Havn't had any luck. I hope somebody up here will help me. I have mine at the shop now. If you know anybody that helps you out please help me out. thanks

 

Finally cured the bear tracker problem after at my wits end we ordered a flywheel to see if it was a timing problem because the timing light was skipping a beat and after the flywheel was put in it ran great. The bike has been apart so many times that when i got it, it had the wrong flywheel in it. Hope this will help anybody with the same problem. thanks
