Here Here! Give em an inch they take a continent. Thenewfie..... Have you seen your gas bill lately? There is just as much fuel now as there was three months ago, but our gasoline prices went up because of increased EPA regulations, and our natural gas costs went up to twice the all time national high, (I get this information, because my wife works for a large natural gas reseller, and it is in fact twice the all time national high. over $10 bucks a unit from less than $2 last year, and the all time high before then was $5.04 per unit) because the Envioro-Idiots took out coal mining. Oh and have you seen your electric bill lately? Yeah, double, why? Because the COAL BURNING ELECTRIC PLANT HAS TO BUY NATURAL GAS NOW! (Not to mention the price of the new Natural Gas Turbine.....) What color is your quad? GREEN???
Wake up. And as far as my dying planet quote. I didn't say it. Dr. David Jeramiah did. (A top Biblical scholar.....) If you want proof of my statement, consider this:
I ride my ATV through the woods, occasionally taking out one or two small saplings, and possibly making it a little more muddy.
A forest fire, that can't be stopped because there is no fire road, takes out the whole damn forest. Jeez, good thing the envioro-idiots won huh? It seems nature will get to do more to destroy itself now.
GET OVER IT!

well...there are problems with the planet. and i cant belive someone said different.
this year alone if i am right they found out the ozone hole is alot bigger than they thought. dont try to say the planet isn't going downhill. but i really dont think stopping ATV's is the solution for that. theres plenty of pollution around but they get plenty of money from them to ignore it. if they stop shooting that dam space shuttle up every other month maybe that would help cut some of the pollution heheh. what about the movie industry?? there always blowing up something and starting fires does that help??? dont even start me on nucular yeah its keeps electric bills down but your kids kids will pay for it throwing it in the ocean and underground isnt the right answer. i really think ATV'ing is the least of there worries, the only reason they target us is they know they can win and dont make enough money off off us like the big businesses. its like that saying goes "the middle class always gets screwed" well think as ATV'ing as the middle class.
that statement really bugged me up above how can you think the planet is in good shape? my brother works for a water testing company. you would not belive what they find in water around the area. im not busting on ATV'ist i love the sport. but people get involved once in awile. pick up trash anything to help out. i ride ATV's but i guess i got a little tree hugger in me. dont you guys ever get out far in the trails and shut off the engine and listen? its so peicefull out there something we take for granted. i rather stop house and business from buying up all the land and keep whats left. i guess with people living into there 80's now a days it going to get worse.. i hope theres a solution.

I just spent about 20 minutes replying to this, and then my internet server lost it. I'm not about to go through it again.
In anycase, if you're going to use biblical scholars who say the earth is dying to prove that we don't have to lift a finger to help it stay healthy longer, I know that I shouldn't waste my time trying to convince you of anything.
I do, however, hope that God will in some way punish those who helped destroy His planet and then used His name to justify it.

ENVIRO ****'S SUX
I have read some of there litterature from a post a long time ago from a post by CornCob who had a link to it and some of there tacticts are nothing short of serial killers I could not believe some of the measures these people take hanging 3 prong hooks on fishing line in know atv trails.
Well all I can say is I am glad they are not as heavy in Canada as they are in the States.
Shoot the B@sT@rds
If you have a problem with this post I do not give a flying F--k.

I'm hardly saying that we shouldn't lift a finger to help. I firmly believe that we should maintain the trails we have, create new trails so that older trails can be "returned" to nature, and spread our sport around.
BUT ... I won't stop riding my four wheeler in the woods, until I see all the greenpeace idiots riding bikes to work, and heating their homes with geothermal energy, not using electricity, Natural gas, or an other form of natural resource.
I do my part not to destroy my riding areas, I ride through existing mud holes, I don't go around them, therby widening them, If I create a new trail, I do it with the landowners permission, and I stop riding the old trail. If you are hung up on the fact that I quoted a biblical scholar, I'm sorry if I offended you, but the fact remains, If we follow clinton's suggested destruction plan, then we will only have ashes and cinders to ride on.
I, along with many other fellow ATV'ers continue to take care of trails, clean up the garbage from the idiots that don't, and do our part to make it easier. I hardly call that not lifting a finger, just as I don't think that "closing" the land to motor vehicles will help the situation.
If I rode a trail where someone "sabotaged" it with three prong hooks, to knowingly do damage to my person, I would seek them out, and most likely do what ever it takes to make sure they don't do it again! (Beating them to a bloody pulp or strapping them to a tree, and making them smell the exhaust from my quad, all acceptable,)
But, 200,000 ATV riders that just up and stop riding their quads, would not lengthen the life of the planet, period.
Now if all 365 million people in America stopped driving cars, trucks, motor cycles, planes, boats, jetski's, and stopped heating their homes, using electricity, and eating leafs, things might get better, but that won't happen, so RIDE!

I'll tell you what. If I ever ran into one of those hooks hung from string(that's the first time I've heard of that) I would sit and wait for them and it wouldn't be pretty. Maybe I'd strap them to the back of my quad and give'em a taste of their own medicine triplefold. That ticks me off I can't believe they go to such drastic measures. A$$holes. Has anyone 'run into' any of these traps?

People, the ozone layer is in a constatnt state of fluctuation. Holes in it grow larger in summer, and shrink in winter. It's a natural cycle, and mankind has not been linked to holes in the ozone. Take a look at the hole over Antarctica. How much man-made pollution is in Antarctica? Hint: none. Those of you who are buying into these eco-fraud lies, must realize that the goings on of mankind are far too minscule to affect the climate on a global scale. Really, think about that!! How can a species(humans) who occupies only 3% of the mandmass, utterly destroy the planet? HOW? It can't be done! I defy you enviro-freaks to offer ANY proof that humankind is destroying the earth.

I can't believe what I'm reading!
First of all let me say that I do my share of polluting. I have a full size 8 cylinder truck, a snowmobile and a quad, and pretty much all my recreational activities involve th einternal combustion engine. Everything but walking the dog.
But for people to say that there are no problem with the environment, or that we don't have any impact on the ecosystem is just too f@#$ing unbelievable!! For God's sake take your head out of the sand!! Admitting that things are changing is not automatically agreeing with so-called eco-freaks. Do you even have grandparents who can tell you what the country was like when they were young? Do you have a TV? How about common sense? There is no doubt that we are having a drastic affect on the environment, the only question is how do we deal with it. Do we make radical reforms that will disrupt our economy and forces drastic changes to our way of life? Do we take slow careful steps that will lessen our impact, on the atmosphere but will allow our economy to grow? Or do we keep our heads tucked so far up our a$$es that we don't admit there is even a problem until it's too late to do anything about it?
It's clear where most of you stand on that!

I hadn't heard about hooks, but in France, some years ago, a bike rider was just fooling around (off road, but on gravel road) with his friends, admiring the landscape. There was a cable in middle of the road at a strategic head height. He's paralyzed. Too bad. Another good thing from the enviros, that try yo mak people feel guilty about polluting and destroying the forests...3 years ago (I think), a forest fire completely burned incredible amount of areas, while the firefighters couldn't move? They said later (and not very loud) that the trails that could have permitted a quick access to the fire were undrivable, trees fallen across, giant holes because of rain...
The enviro try to mae people feel guilty about polltuing...actually no, they try to make pople feel guilty about using their car or any other stuff with internal combustion engine...what other way is there to go to work?? Please some one tell me. I'm not gonna wake up a 4am to be at work a 8...being the enviro *****, I'd offer a HUGE rebate on toyota Prius or Honda Insight, so they cost 10 000 instead of 18 000. No, it's better to say on TV "each time you start your car, you kill 25 people because of lung cancer" and then , they hop up in their 75 VW combi that pollutes 200 time more.
Makes me sick.

newfiebullet, I'm sorry, but you have NO PROOF that we are destroying this planet. Neither does ANY other eco-nut. If you think you can make me eat my words, I'd like to see you try. I'd say YOUR head is in the sand. Use some logic, and some common sense. The eco-***** operate by making people such as yourself feel guilty for what they are doing.
