2003 warrior

I recently purchased a 2003 warrior its completly stock.

It starts easily, idles fine and seems to run strong , it doesn't smoke

It the problem is its vibrates like crazy!

if your sitting still and crack the throttle all the way it would vibrate your hands right off the handlebars

Its not so noticable when riding it unless you get an open stretch where you can wind it out then it feels as though you should be able to go much faster but it would vibrate apart

Also when you shut it off the engine stops with a clunk can't tell if its top end or bottom

i want to add a few upgrades but was wondering if i should have it rebuilt first or is this the way its supose to run

any thoughts would be appreciated

thanks

Check your top motor mount, its up under the fuel tank. They are very prone to breaking.

Yeah, I'm surprised somebody hasn't come up with some heavy duty upper motor mounts by now. My buddy replaced his top mounts 3 months ago and they are broken already. I never ran any top mounts on any of my Warriors. Check all of your motor mounting bolts. They are also notorious for coming loose. I used lock nuts on mine and locktite.

The engine clunk is normal for a Warrior. You shouldn't have to rebuild your engine unless you blow it up or until it starts smoking.
