Default 2007 Wolverine tire options?

I am new to the whole ATV world so i feel like a newbie. I have a 07 Wolverine 450 4x4. I was looking to get some new tires and maybe wheels so that i can change them out when i needed to, but I dont know what options i have in terms of size. It comes with AT23 x 8-12 Radial in the front and AT23 x 10-12 Radial in the rear. How big can i go or how small can i go when shopping to tire's without having any probelms?

Stick with lite tires like Mudlites, don't go over 25" tires IMO,you will run into power problems as well as clearance problems, don't go smaller than OEM..

I saw a new wolvy at the dealership with 14" ITP SS112 wheels on 25" ITP Terracross tires....it was way too stuffed, and didnt look right at all.

I have those same wheels and tires on my RZR and it fits that pretty good and it is 2x the size of the wolverine.

What kind of riding do you do? That will be a big factor in tire choice. For trails, the stock tires are actually pretty damn good....but if you want to upgrade, the ITP terracrosses are pretty nice.

For mud, check out the ITP mudlights.

25" ITP ATR"S are lite and a great trail tire.

I'd stick with 25x8 in the front and 25x10 in the rear and if it were my money I'd look at the Maxxis Zilla or GBC Dirt Devil II.

man...a 25x10 tire is a lot of tire for a wolverine, way too much for me and my style of riding...but whatever floats your boat I guess. I guess I could see it if you rode mud all the time, but I wouldn't use a wolvy for a hardcore mudder because of the open front diff. The quad was designed to be fairly light, fairly nimble, and fairly quick...a 25x10 tire is going against the grain of that design.

The new maxxis Zilla comes in a 23x8-12 and a 23x10-12 for those who need more traction but do not want to step up in size. I just installed the Maxxis Razr 4-speeds on mine and it handles very well zipping between tree's and the steering is alot easier now. Only problem is it is alot easier to 2 wheel than before.
