Default Help With Kodiak Rear Brake

I have a 2003 Kodaik with the wet brake on the rear axel. Lately it sticks once I am done riding and it cools down. When it sticks the axel wont even rotate, unless I back the tension for the foot pedal and hand pedal levers right off. I then still need to rock it back and forward until it releases. Any one have any suggestions what the cause of the rear brake locking up might be?

Thanks for any help.

Default Help With Kodiak Rear Brake

If its drum brakes you may have mud and water in the drum housing and need to clean and lube it up.

Default Help With Kodiak Rear Brake

I looked at the brake drum tonight and it appears to be completely sealed. It is it going to be a big job to open this up?
