i got my buddies raptor still and still trying to figure it out well i took the carbs off and the main jets were two different ones one was a 140 and other was a 145 and i dont think that is right.. he got it in PA its got an alba pro racing pipe on it....


well i tried putting smaller jets in i put 130s in and still breaking up and popping when i get on the gas can someone help with any suggestions

 

There are different sized carbs on the 660. The right carb feeds 2 valves, the left carb feeds 1 valve. So it needs 2 different sizes with the left being smaller.

 

ok so what should i put in them even with the 140 and 145 it still was breaking up.... so if anyone can tell me what they have their raptors at it would be greatly appreciated thank you..

yeah sorry to those of you who genuinely dont know how to help... but you know as well as i do that most people just look... just to see what someone else has posted or just to read what is the problem.. all im looking for is some suggestions on what jets i should use im stuck and cant get the jetting instructions from alba for this model... just asking for some help

 

Do you have the bigger and smaller jets in the right carbs?What does the tip of your spark plug look like when you take it out of the motor?Is it real black or tanish brown or chalky white?

 

well right now there are two of the same they are 130's but i did take out 140 and 145 and yes the spark plug is black im thinking of putting a 120 and taking out the 130do yo uthink that will help..?

I hope I'm right on this but I would try to keep the same difference between the jets.Like 120-125=5 or 130-135=5 not 130-120=10.does that make sense.and make sure you have the bigger jet in the bigger carb.If it is the jetting then yes it sounds like you need to go down but this could be caused by some other problem.Do you know what the stock jet size is?

Mine started spitting and popping real bad the other day. I put a new plug in it and it is doing fine so far.
