I just traded my '99 Warrior for an '04 Blaster. My bud bought the 660 Friday, I got the blaster Saturday. I was wondering what I needed to do to at least make a street drag interesting. I can already smoke him on the trails, no problem. I have already ordered but not installed a Trinity exhaust, Dynaflow jet kit, and I am getting a 36mm carb, shaving the heads, and doing some re-gearing

listen to yammer rider, a 240 kit will help alot, but your doing good so far on the aftermarket parts that you ordered, but also put smaller wheels on the back, and change the sprockets out for more bottom end power, if the drag strip is short then all you need is the holeshot and the hold on him, then you can claim to have outran the mighty 660r .... I already have a K&N on it, the gears are really short (first gear isn't worth shifting to, and second is not much better), i was actually thinking about going up a tooth in the front. The strip is an 1/8 track.

If you look at the pic I have much smaller rear tires than factory, also places that i ride we hit a lot of deep mud holes. If I got rid if the air box wouldnt I have problems with getting the filter wet?

Turn the throttle screw in on the raptor or turn off his gas.

Otherwise you'll need a full engine overhaul to make things interesting in a straight line, acceleration or top end.

660r's are tough, you either have to build your engine all the way up, or pick out another quad to run againt him, your not gonna beat him on top end, but you might get the holeshot....

i kinda wish i would have went with a banshee instead, but i couldnt get past the handling. I wonder what i would have to do to swing a TT-500 motor in it?

maybe if the raptor blows up then you'll win my friend owned a blaster with a 240 kit ,pipe,filter,had everything done to it and i flat out smoked him with my raptor 660 i had , good luck
