If I ride in reverse for more then 3 or 4 seconds it will pop and sputter and then go again is this normal???

you're smackin the rev limiter at 3000 rpm's. Cool trick~~~hold down the gas a little till it hits the rev limiter.....when it cuts out, keep on the gas. It will make a HUGE backfire. make sure you are wearing a helmet when you do this......it will hurt your ears.

It depends how fast you're goin in reverse, you could be hittin the rev limiter, or you could be goin to slow. I find that pulling in the clutch slightly makes reverse alot more smooth.

The rev limiter is what I must be hitting. Didn't know it was at only 3000 rpm thanks
