I have a 98 yamaha blaster and something is wrong with the clutch or somethin i dont know. But what happens is i just replaced the clutch cable about 5 months ago and now it is starting to break right at the clutch lever this is the 2nd one i have put on within 5 months so somethin cant be right somewhere. What is causing it to breack at the lever?

i was jsut at my local shop and they asked me the same question cuz mine was hard to pull in, they said it was because it was running up against somethin on the quad and creates friction and the cables will fray, hopefully that answered your question

if you don't have it adjusted right it will do that. i just recently had to replace my 14 year old cable because of stretch.just keep the lever adjusted to 2-3 mm of freeplay and the cable and clucth will last longer

Well how do i fix the problem?

Sounds like your cable is rubbing on a burr inside of the adjuster that screws into your clutch perch. If so just file it down,if its not inside the adjuster there has got to be a burr somewhere around where you see the damage to your cable.
