Slightly newer piggyback shocks for the Raptor 700 ... that's about it..

I'm actually happy they didn't take the FI route with the YFZ450, yet....

If all that comes out is a 550 Grizzly, I'm gonna be disappointed. Not that I'd buy it, but I'd like to see Yamaha come out with some competition for the Can-Am Renegade. I read on another forum that Yamaha's coming out w/a large displacement cross-over (sport/ute) type quad. I hope they do, but we'll see. My local yammer dealer said that Yamaha will never come out w/a multi cylinder ATV. I guess we might find out tomorrow.</end quote></div>

Well you are going to be disappointed... I kinda am...

They did come out with a Grizzly 550... but BS .. same chassis as the 700!! Same Size as the 700! so why the hell buy the 550? To save a mear $800???

They should have deep sixed the Grizzly 450 and jammed that Engine in that smaller sized chassis.... I think Yamaha dropped the BALL BIG TIME on this one....

What a disapointment. only things new are a Raptor 90 and a grizzly 550 that is identical to a 700 except it has a smaller piston. boo!

Yup... like Yoda said...

The 550 Grizz is a 700 Grizz with the SAME Engine but a smaller bore.. So to answer your question Hemi - Yes it has EFI and Yes you can get it with Power Steering.

So is there any ADVANTAGE to buying a Grizz 550 over the Grizz 700... IMHO F-NO!!!

Unless you REALLY Can't afford the $800 difference in price... What the heck is the Point of the Grizz 550 YAMAHA?? HMMM!!!! Can you tell I am

The Grizz 550 is NOT Lighter.. it is NOT Smaller .. it has LESS HP than the 700 what the hell is the reason for this Quad being developed!!! What a joke.. it truely is a JOKE!!

Yamaha would have hit a HUGE HOME RUN if they stuffed this engine in the Grizzly 450 sized Chassis!!

Sorry about that steve as I did not catch the same engine part. I will agree that they missed the boat on this one but all is not lost as yamaha did not have a good 500 to compete in the sport ute class with big boys and If the 550 is anything like the 700 It sould be one of the most powerfull in its class!
