Yeap my brother is a Yam / Suzuki dealer. He's allready onto his second one !!!! first one got sold to a customer, they just HAD to have it. Power is awesome, comes on strong pulls hard and when it revs out, geezus the sound is awesome, we had a couple of XR250's at the track as well, Grandads bikes in comparision.......... The YZF pulls ahrd from surprising low in the rpm range and doesn't mind doodling along at trail bike pace, just grab the throttle and it launches hard in a strong linear fashion, it's one hell of an engine.......... The sound at full noise raises the hair on the back of your neck....... JUST PLAIN AWESOME...... makes Honda engines like tike antiques......

I just rode one 2 days ago along with a raptor. The yzf seemed to have a lot of power and it was more usuable then a yz125. Picked up a lot more too. The shocks were a lot stiffer but that will be better for jumping. I just rode it in a field.

I think the yz250f might be the bike for me>I have rode alot of dirtbikes.I had a yz80,rm80,rt100,rt180.And have rode a KX250 and a cr500.The cr I rode down a hill and got off and made my dad come get it.It was TO fast. The kx was crazy fast but I could kinda ride it.I don't know if a 125 is to much for just messin around or not.I will ride both before I buy one.I will probably get a yz either the yz125 or yz250f.

surfer400ex,

Just curious, if the cost were the same and you could only buy one, would you go for the Raptor or YZ250F?

Thanks
