Battery won't charge.
 

I have a 87 model 200 moto 4. This thing runs like a top, everything works good. The battery will not recharge itself while running and I can't figure it out. When running the lights work fine, getting brighter when you up the rpms. Once it cranks there are no issues, it will usually crank on the first pull of the rope. When using the electric start it works fine for a while, then it slows down as the battery is drained.

Any suggestions?

will the quad run with the battery disconnected? if not, the stator is probably bad. there is a fuse under the seat on some of those quads that might blow. i would check all the fuses to be sure all is well on that end.
