Chain Tensioner on Warrior

Im not very familiar with chain driven vehicles at all but i think my chain has too much slack

I already tightened the chain adjusters as far as they go and the chain still doesnt seem to be very tight?

Is there something im missing or do i need to maybe remove a link?

Oh and there is a weird bolt on the frame above the top of the chain that has like 2 washers just hanging on it?? Anyone know what it is? Could that be my problem?

the more the bolt on the adjuster is screwed inward the tighter it gets, then the nut holds it in place, the adjuster bolts roll the axle inward tightening the chain, if the adjusters are all the way in and your chain is still to lose you need to take a link out. the weird bolt your talking about, im not sure where your talking about.unless you mean the chain roller, behind the front sprocket theres a small bracket thats meant to have a chain roller slid over it, if it doesnt have one that will cause a chain slack prob.

Yes thats what im talking about a bolt on the frame a little bit behind the front sprocket.

Its just got like 2 washers on it that slide loose the bolt is maybe 2inches long?

Where can i get another roller and how does it work?

It's better to replace the chain instead of taking out a link. If the chain has stretched that far, you need a new one.

The bolt and washers you are refering to is your chain roller, and your plastic roller is gone. This will not cause your chain to be slack, the rollers just guide the chain. You can get them anywhere that sells ATV parts. Pivot Works may be a brand to start a search with.

1. replace chain
2. replace roller (there's an upper and lower roller, might check them both out)
3. ride
