Default 97 Big Bear 350

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a 97 big bear 350. The guy I am buying it from says it runs and shifts great it is just smoking. I have no experience with atv's but I have rebuilt car engines/trans. I assume it just needs bored with a set of rings.

The bike comes with a parts bike and the guy wants $650.

What should I look for when buying this atv?

Any help would be appreciated, if I get the atv I will be an avid member here. Thanks

the 350 platform by yamaha is almost bulletproof. if it is smokig, you can bet it has been put through hell. redo the entire motor. that is the best option. and those big bears are indestructable. i had a 99 and was forced to sell it due to loosing my job. i hated letting it og. i miss the mud =(
