I dunno, I'd be willing to put money on the FX winning a race with a DS or a Raptor. I mean if a puny 250(250R) can beat a 400(400EX), then why couldn't a 400(FX400) beat a 650+(DS650/Raptor)? I think you'll be surprised........

I could reply to this myself, but being a nice guy and all I thought I'd let everyone else have first stab at it. |
No, please, you first. I insist.
Besides, I can't right now. I'm laughing too much... |
A puny 250, Its called a "two stroke" A 400 4 stroke will not beat a 660 or 650 4 stroke unless it is modified!!!

Uh, has anyone been to the website lately, all the stuff being said about the FX is being said by test riders from Dirt Wheels, Atv Action, and ATV Sport. I really doubt if they were paid to say the things they said.
As far as a puny little 400.. did you guys read the engine specs on this thing? 11.5:1 compression? 33HP? Not to mention the MX redlines at upwards of 11,000 RPM. If this is true i'd say it's modified "out of the box". |

Can't wait to see the price-tag...

Guys, what you consider to be a "modified" engine is actually called new technology.
If you take a good look at Cannondale's engine you'll see a lot of different stuff from conventional 4 stroke engines. The same happens with Yamaha's state of the art YZ426F (58HP) and the new YZ250F. Another thing that you are forgetting is that Cannondale in only 360lbs. Now about reliability, that's different story... JNBOMB650 |
