Sounds like it is burning oil. Could be bad news. Did you do anything before it started happening? Could it be overfull of oil? Any way oil is being sucked in from the air filter?

I thought white smoke had to do with possible water in the engine. I could be wrong of course. But I seem to remember hearing white = water, black = fuel, and blue = oil. And I would definitely wait for somebody else to confirm that as being correct or not before taking it as the truth.

Well if you are burning water you would get steam. That could be called white smoke but it would be steam. Black is too much fuel. White/blue is oil. It is not blue like the sky, it can be white with a blue tinge.

Mine did the same & it was very slowly pulling water from the cooling system.
I had no signs of water in the oil at 1st & so I figured I ride it intill the problem showed up & it finally showed in the oil.
My motor was rebuilt under warranty but I seem to remember them saying something about a O-ring that seals on the head. Im not sure though
