Timberwolf Stator testing
Hello, i need some help, i am working on a 97 timberwolf that has no spark, actually only one small spark at the end of using the push starter, i went thru all wire and ground wires all are fine, no breaks or corrision has been cleaned, went thru the kill switch it ohms and functions fine. So what should the stator ohm readings be? i get AC voltage coming out of the pickup coil and the exciter coil so i know there is a spark going to the cdi, but dont get any voltage coming out of cdi to the ignition coil. I am guessing i need to replace one or both just trying to do it least costly.
Thanks for your help |
no one knew what to do? or?
Well here is what i figured out, since i didnt get an ohm reading on the pick up coil, i seperated in from the stator and replaced, reassembled and got good spark!! So if anyone else has this problem, you can replace just the pick up coil and not just the stator |
pick up coil
Hi, I am having the same problem with the timberwolf 4 wheeler. Where is the pick up coil located and where did you purchase a new one at? Do you know where I can find the complete wiring diagram?
