Grizzly tires?

OK i purchased the 700 Grizzly, a friend says that I should change tires to some with better traction, that is what he did on his Honda.
Am I going to want to change tires?

YES!!!!! One of the biggest complaints on just about any Grizz is the tippy feeling you get while riding it. By changing the tires to a good radial like say a Maxxis Big Horn will cure this issue in a big way. Then if you want to get real crazy add wheel spacers like the ones you can fine on E-Bay and you will have one of the best suspended quads made not to mention way better traction over the stock tires! These additions plus adding Ricochet skid would be the first mods I would do to any quad!

I am a huge Maxxis fan but don't do a whole lot of mudding but have heard that the Maxxis Zilla's (Not Mudzilla's!) are a great all around tire with a emphasis on Mudd riding.

if you want to do mostly general riding, mostly plain dirt may get some mud goose hunting, which of the maxxis tires would you recommend?

Mud Lites

I would strongly suggest ITP Mudlites...I have the AT package on my Big Bear...they are great...you could go up the at XL or XXL or go radial with them as well...keep us posted and some pics would be great too...another thing to consider is that if you are buying new tires is that you may be able to get a wheel package with them and get a discount for doing both...just another option...my $.02

The tire above is for I would say 40% dirt 60% mud. If you do 60% dirt and 40% mud I would go with the Big Horns!

You can get a better idea as to what each tire was designed for if you look at the Maxxis web site!

I do not see on the Maxxis page where it really gives me an idea of what the tires are best for. As far as looking at them, yes there are a few that scream "MUD" kind of like my brothers tractor tires. As far as deciding what I want them for I see nothing that helps. Probably 80% dry dirt or grass, 10% mud, 10% snow. My buddy put the ITP tires on his honda, what is recommended for them?

rim package, is that just for looks?
