Warrior won't run off choke
 

Warrior needs to start and run on choke. Turning the choke off results in instant death. I'm guessing a clogged (pilot?) jet. Any ideas, guys?

Clean the carb, pay special attention to the jets.

When you get the float out, push it down in the bottom of a bucket full of water and see if bubbles come out. If so, your float is bad. It should stay water tight and float to the top when you let go of it.

Check the following:
Carb vent tube-could be clogged.
Spark Plug-running rich, lean, or in between.
Air Intake plastics-check for cracks, leaks.
Compression-Normal range or low.

If 2 stroke, check crankshaft seals, could be leaking.

I would start by giving the carb a good cleaning.

I checked the vent tubes and the air intake. That's all good. In fact, in tinkering with the air box, I discovered that one more of the air box screws will spin but not come out of the hole, and another screw just won't go in to the hole at all because the cover doesn't line up over its hole in the frame. More problems. And all of this messing with getting the engine running is after I'm through working around the continued no electricity issue.... I'm tired of these Warriors.

I've drained the gas out and replaced it with a strong mixture of gas, Star Tron, and carb cleaner, ran it in to the carb (it seems to be running better already), and now I'll let it sit for a day or two, add some fresh gas, and see what that does. If that doesn't work, I'll take the carb out (again) and soak it in diesel. My neighbor told me both these tricks. He actually put diesel in his 2000-ish Arctic Cat 500s... ran them a couple days without realizing what he had done, and now they run and start better than ever (they're back on gas). Before and after diesel is like night vs day.

That seems to be resolved, but now I have another problem... what size is the oil plug? 19mm?
