WANTED: Hillbilly Engineer :)

Ok, I have been searching but I cannot seem to find what I am looking for...

I live in Maine and I have a 50' driveway, two cars wide and flat.

I have a 1989 Moto-4 250 w/ front and rear racks, a tow hitch and tire chains.

I have a 48" Craftsmen Dozer Blade with all the attachments.

I have the desire to marry the two together. I think I can get it done, or at least make some templates of brackets but I have never seen any close up images of what I am trying to do. All sorts of pictures of ATV's with plows, and all sorts of posts with people saying they have plows on a Moto-4 but I have not seen one picture to get my "creative" juices flowing.

Anyone know of any photo's showing what a plow mount would look like on the front of an 89 moto4 250?

This:

Is pretty much what I have, except that the center piece (The push tube?) goes straight back, it does not have the sections that flare out like the one in the above photo.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

I also have an 86 200 but it does not have the racks, and tow hitch, etc... it is just for riding trails. I hope to use the "new" '89 for plowing my little driveway.

I am beginning to think it is an urban legand....

Would need to see pics of the plow and undercarriage of the moto 4 to be able to think of a design

Well, the frame and undercarriage is a pretty simple tube frame setup. I have been finding some info where people are using a "swisher universal mount" type setup... where you pretty much hang a pivot from the trailer mount and attach the plow tube there... the link above http://s.shld.net/is/image/Sears/07124428000

shows the plow except the one I have only has a straight push tube...

Single push tube to hitch would need a bracket up front to keep it centered and allow for up and down lift

The plow came with the brackets and hardware it used on the tractor so I am hoping I can modify them to connect to the front of the wheeler. The back is looking easy, just a "C" shaped bracket coming out of the trailer hitch with a pivot connection to the extended push tube.

THIS LOOKS PROMISING!!

u might have to cut a few of those brackets, center mount or rear mount is a much better idea than front mount, it puts less strain on the whole bike and u can lift the plow higher and easier if u do the brackets right, i'd like to find a 48 or 50" plow blade myself for my warrior, but i doubt i'll find one cheap enough

It can be fabricated to work...I have a 60" Mule plow on my 1999 Suzuki Quadrunner 500cc 4x4.... I Fabricated my own Bracket for the front..so I can use the winch to Lift the Plow up so that the center of my plow lines up with my front rack....

I've even Built myself a Johnny Bucket for my Cub Cadet...and it was a manuel Lift and dump bucket...

If there is a Idea ,It can be Built...

I Hated the Subframe that Goes under the quad and Mounts near the foot pegs or the type that mounts near the rear ballhitch....As it leaves alot of tubed frame under the quad..also I Like to have my plow up and able to clear curbs and such .....

I'll try and dig threw my Pics and find some to post...
