98 Big Bear 2x4 Moto 4 Issues
ok, I've been away at college and haven't been able to ride at all for the past 3 years. Now i've finally got my own place and I have my bike with me now.
The carb needs to be rebuilt. The reason why I's saying this is because it will start but will idle EXTREMELY HIGH, dangerous RPM's. I've cleaned the carb, but it still idles the same way. And I've tried adjusting. When I kill the bike, fuel drains from the float bowl down out on the ground. It's just getting way to much fuel.
It says Mikuni BTM on the side. I cannot find a rebuild kit for this year and model bike. Is there another bike that has the same carb, or is there a replacement carb I could get. The yamaha place says $400+ for a new carb, but doesn't list a rebuild kit. Can someone please shower me with your knowledge!
On another note... Is there anyone that sells a re-gear kit for the rear end of these bikes? This one is geared SOOOO low.

I kinda had a hard time understanding your post, no offense. The jets will have an number on them and I have to match it with the correct needle? The needle valve is sticking, causing fuel overflow? I've been out of the 4 wheeler scene a while, so it's like learning a new language again, sorry.

ya the needle valves that the fuel flows through when it when its running each one will have a number stamped it to the brass the ones that you have, have junk built up init you just have to match the numbers so it will run right and not lean or rich its easy to clean the needle so it floats freely
